The cost involved with the installation of your new Resin Bound Driveway Path or Patio can vary dependant on many factors.
From colour, which type of resin is offered or used, size of the area, if you are extending the size of the area, or indeed if there is no driveway to begin with and a full excavation of the ground is required first.
If trees or shrubbery need to be removed, old walls may need to be removed, rebuilt or added. The same applies to new steps, brickwork, gate posts or brick piers and also what kind of brick or concrete edging is desired or required.
There are two types of resin typically used in a resin driveway, Aliphatic or Aromatic (often refered to as UV or Non-UV) .
ResinDriveways.co.uk not only use the best UV Aliphatic Resins in every installation but also are the only company to use a UKAS certified Resin Bound System.
Other considerations to take into account are whether your existing surface, be it concrete or tarmac is in good enough condition to receive a straight installation on top of it. This is usually cheaper than starting from scratch. for example a lawned area being turned into a resin driveway, path or patio.
Below are some expected examples of costs for 2023.
Straight lay onto an existing solid and good condition surface such as concrete or tarmac - £50-£80 per m² dependant on resin type and stone colour.
Full Excavation works - £120-£150 per m²
Edgings - £12-£40 per linear metre.
Removal of trees and shrubs - Up to £500 but could be more dependant on how many and the machinery used.
New wall and steps - £1500-£2500, again dependant on if the wall needs to be retaining and how many courses.
Two elegant brick piers £400-£800
All these prices are to act as rough guide price for you new Resin Driveway in 2023.

Is the resin toxic?
No. Our Resin Bound Permeable Paving when laid is completely inert. With natural plant extracts making up part of the resin blend.
What makes it Permeable?
Typically Resin Bound Permeable Paving for Driveways, Paths and Patios is a fine mix aggregates of between 1-3mm and 3-6mm that is cleaned and dried, then the aggregate is mixed with our high performance UV Stable Resin. Once cured water is able to permeate through the voids within the bonded stone, without compromising the strength of the surface.

How long will it last?
Our Resin Bound Driveways come with our standard guarantee, however the resin technology suggests it will last in excess of 25 years.

After 24 hours your Resin Bound Permeable Paving should be fully cured. But will be suitable for pedestrian traffic after just 4-6 hours and light vehicular use after 12-16 hours. During the winter these times may be longer due to the colder weather.
How do I keep it clean?
Your new Resin Bound Driveway will be very easy to look after and low maintenance. It can be cleaned with a pressure washer or simply a stiff broom. Using a light detergent such as washing up liquid you can restore the stone back to brand new.
Can I use the resin with my own aggregate?
In principle yes, However all of our stone has gone through a rigorous process of screening, cleaning, and drying, and any aggregate you supply would have to meet our minimum quality standards. If you would like any further information on this or anything else, please feel free to contact us.
